Life and nature doesn't exist without movement.
Hi!
I’m Luana, a 2D Motion Designer
based in São Paulo, Brazil.

✦ Abstract and geometric animation
✦ Curiosity-driven
✦ Rhythm, smoothness, metaphors, textures, jazz

✦ Alive to get my hands dirt. Paper, paint, scan, soil

𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀
Mainly work with 2d animation in After effects, but currently I'm experimenting with new softwares and techniques to get some more organic looks on my final pieces. Studying Toon Boom and Cinema 4d.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀
Observation is my basis. Whenever possible I implement manual methods on my creation processes.
Such as drawing storyboards by hand, scanning textures, cutting out some paper, painting.
Anything that get my hands dirt and makes me feel alive and creating hahaha

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻?
Since I started my career as a video and audio editor, rhythm is one of my strengths. I felt in love with animation when I realized I could kinesthetically feel the timing of the movements I imagined. And from that, bring things to life! It's almost like creating golems hahaha

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿
Currently working as Motion Designer with Itaú, Oliver Agency. Previously worked with clients like ALOK, Rio Galeão and Braskem for OKE Studio.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮: I studied Advanced Motion Methods with Sander van Dijk at School of Motion, which I'm really really glad for the scholarship.
You can click on the badge bellow to see an abstract of the techniques I've learned on the course.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬: I graduated in communication. The curriculum of the Radio, Tv and Internet course is almost equivalent to a cinema graduation. Art Direction, Semiotics, Screenwriting, Sound Design, History of art and many other subjects.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁-𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺
I also conducted a research on experimental animation narratives as my undergraduate thesis with three other talented artists.
The result of those researches is Shape Society, an abstract and geometric animated short film about the development of a sense of self-identity in children.

I'd love to hear about projects we could work on together!
